Notes: Beckman is a manufacture of high quality touring bikes and components. His products have a reputation for being some of the best. However, they also tend to be expensive.
Mounting System: Four rolled steel hooks affixed to an aluminum support backing. The four hooks rest on the top and bottom of bicycle racks. There is a single strap holding system that wraps around the bottom of the rack to keep the pannier in place. The panniers will work with Beckman, Gordon, Bilenky, Jandd and Nitto racks. Notes: Jandd is a mountain backpack company located in Santa Barbara. Maker of a wide range of bicycle bags, including handlebar bags, seat wedges, rank trunks, etc. Bags made of heavy-duty Cordura. They tend to be very strong, but also a little heavy.
Also Jandd is notorious for not spending any money on advertising (hence the non-working web site). The following information is from the 2001 catalog, and where supplied by Pablo Mendoza.
Mounting System: Most models use Stainless steel hooks on the top and an adjustable tension strap to reach the bottom. It is reported that these are difficult to adjust because one must reach behind the bag to tighten the strap. However, once they are on, they are on. Not easily removable., All Jandd panniers attach together to make carrying easier off the bike. |

Notes: Maddens seem popular with touring cyclist. Adv-cycling sells them and that seems like a pretty good recommendation in of its self.
Mounting System: Two rolled steel hooks affixed to an ABS plastic support back. A bungee cord extends from both hooks and is attached to a S-hook at the bottom. The S-hook is centered by a nylon strap at the bottom of the pack. This S-hook is attached to a strap that runs vertically from the hook to the top. A delrin buckle is at the center of the strap. Notes: These are the panniers used by Daniel Buettner and his group for the
Soviet Trek, Africa Trek, Maya Quest, and Asia Quest expeditions. 500 &
1000 denier Cordura is used in the construction. Finish quality is very
high with excellent attention to detail.
Mounting System: Two rolled steel hooks at the top of the pannier affixed to
an ABS plastic stiffened back. A triangulated strap system, called Strap
Tight, is at the bottom of the pannier. Two steel welded rings are attached
to the straps and act as hooks. When placed around the hooks at the bottom
of Blackburn racks, these are held in place when the straps are tightened
and tensioned. |

Sorry I don/'/t have much information on this bag, I have not been able to find another one like it for sale on the internet. The review though: Small, but sturdy bags. The attachment system is made of kind of cheap plastic, but it seems to be holding up.
