very large, can get in the way easily, especially during winter (boots are bigger than shoes). Computer sleeve is great, and support large and heavy laptops. The overall construction is sturdy. Agenda pocket is a bit too tight: it will only accept a few sheets.
If you have a big laptop, you can not be wrong with this pannier. |

Waterproofing:
While Arkel makes no claim of waterproofing they sell a separate rain cover. I have used the Waterproof cover on the briefcase with 100% success. However the couple of times I forgot it and bike in serious rain there was no sign of water inside.
Laptop:
I bought this bag when I got a new Apple Titanium Powerbook. I wanted a bag that I had 100% confidence in. In this bag the laptop is sealed in a waterproof sleeve that is suspended inside the bag. The bag is padded and has a plastic shield on both sides. This was the only computer pannier I found that had all these features. Looks good as well and I have no problems carrying it around the office. |

Mounting bracket that bolts to back of pannier bent, I think because I had a lot of weight in it and it was mounted fairly far back on the rack.
Uncomfortable to wear off bike, but otherwise quite functional. |
