Idaho to Montana Day 7 - 9
Day 7, Sunday 6/21/98. Some American road side art. A Dinosaur, Shark, Alligator, and Bald Eagle (with fish in talons).
Day 7, Sunday 6/21/98. Alpowa Summit. This summit came to a top of a grassy plateau. Notice laundry bag and towel drying on bike.
Day 7, Sunday 6/21/98. Alpowa Summit. Not really a summit, just the top of a grassy world. The bicycle is in mid fall.
Day 8, Monday 6/22/98. Beautiful bend in the Columbia River.
Day 8, Monday 6/22/98. Nice bridge over the river. If you squint, you might see a bigrider on the bridge. Funny thing is, I wanted to visit the hot springs, but never saw the sign.
Day 9, Tuesday 6/23/98. This bigrider carried it on a cello BOB bicycle trailer all the way across. He was just learning how to play and didn't want to fall behind in learning.
Day 9, Tuesday 6/23/98. This is my 'DC or Bust!' sticker provided by Roadkill Doug.
Day 9, Tuesday 6/23/98. This was the first summit that seemed like you were in the rockies.
Day 9, Tuesday 6/23/98. Pit 2. There were a lot of riders at this pit when I arrived. Usually I am always in the back and don't see so many people at once.
Day 9, Tuesday 6/23/98. Montana State line. I didn't feel like waiting in the disorganized line to get me in the photo.
Day 9, Tuesday 6/23/98. Helicopter logging. The helicopter would pick up logs on the far side of the river and fly them over to crews next to the road.
